From the first dip of the toe, Turtle Tots is a magical journey between parent and child, developing water confidence, safety, and swimming skills through our unique and multi award-winning, child-led swimming programme.
Turtle Tots Cotswolds and Warwickshire is run by Narelle Hamilton. Along with her team of world-class swimming teachers, they offer swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and older independent swimmers from their lovely warm pool facilities in Stratford upon Avon, Bloxham, Coventry, Kenilworth and West Bromwich.
For babies and toddlers up to the age of 5, our supportive and inspiring child-led swimming programme offers a wonderful bonding experience, packed with songs and games to ensure that you and your little one enjoy your time in the pool together and develop a life-long love of the water. As they progress, our independent lessons focus on developing their confidence and technique. Our programme is taught by our fully qualified and highly skilled teachers who are trained to the highest possible standards and are attuned to your child’s needs to ensure that every skill is taught at a pace that is right for them.

Narelle
Hi! I’m Narelle and I teach at Croft House pool and Cardinal Wiseman School on a Sunday and love to teach Aquanatal classes too. I’ve swum with Turtle Tots since my son Seb was 12 weeks old and have loved watching his water confidence grow. I feel very privileged to meet expectant mums in the area and give them the opportunity to bond with their baby in a lovely, calm environment. I also love watching all of your little turtles learn such an important life skill and to see them progress and grow!

Hi, my name is Melissa and I teach our classes at Tiverton School on a Sunday. I started swimming with Turtle Tots in 2016 with my first son and we enjoyed it so much I subsequently brought my second little boy to classes a few years later. I feel incredibly lucky to now be teaching your little turtles and have the privilege to share the very start of their swimming journey with you.

Hi, I’m Jen. I teach at Croft House on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Bloxham on a Sunday. I started my Turtle Tots journey with my little boy, Harry, when he was 4 months old. We loved coming to classes and enjoyed the special time we got to spend together in the pool. When an opportunity to join the team became available I jumped at the chance! It’s the best decision I’ve made and I can’t wait to meet you and teach your little ones.

Hi, I’m Laura and I teach at Jules’ Pool on a Saturday morning and independent lessons at Croft House pool on a Saturday afternoon. I started Aquanatal classes with Turtle Tots when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2019 and we then joined lessons with her when she was born. I then rejoined Aquanatal when pregnant with my son in 2022 and now swim with him at lessons too! I’m looking forward to helping you enjoy being in the water with your little one and watching them take their first steps into becoming independent swimmers. -

Hi I’m Jas, and I teach at Croft House Pool on a Thursday and Saturday afternoon and Thorns Infant School and Tiverton School on a Friday. My Turtle Tots journey started in 2016 with classes for my son, and continued in 2018 with my middle daughter who loved her classes and wouldn’t get out of the pool. I started teaching in 2019 when an opportunity became available, then took a break to have my youngest daughter. I’m delighted to rejoin the Turtle Tots team and look forward to teaching your little ones and watching them grow into confident, independent swimmers.

Our 2 year old daughter absolutely loves Turtle Tots and lessons with our instructor, Jen. She has been having lessons since she was 3 months old and can’t wait to get in the pool. She has been learning the basics of swimming on her front and back (supported), using floats and more recently jumping in, and it is lovely to see her smiling and enjoying it so much. My son started swimming class with Mellisa at Turtle Tots when he was 6 months old. It helps him learn music and brain development. Most importantly he doesn’t fear of water. I used to take him for the classes when I was on maternity leave and it’s daddy’s job now as he is too heavy and active. Very nice family activities on weekends.

Narelle and Melissa are truly amazing people! Narelle is extremely kind-hearted who has always accommodated our family with holidays, invoicing and always being so responsive and helpful with any queries.
Melissa is an amazing teacher, my son absolutely loves her and loves attending her classes. Even from an early age of 3 months, he always adored Melissa as a person. My daughter also warmed to Melissa very quickly and loves swimming with her. Melissa’s classes have been extremely helpful in getting both children confident in the water, with the mix of props, singing and storytelling. I have found turtle tots amazing. They have been easy to book with, the lessons are so interactive for the children and the instructors are lovely and don’t push your children to do anything they don’t want to. My daughter hated swimming before and after her first lesson was jumping in by herself.

Turtle tots has been fantastic for my daughter. She looks forward to her lessons every week and has great relationship with Melissa our instructor who is brilliant at what she does. Turtle tots isn’t isn’t pushy and lets children go at their own pace. If there’s something they don’t want to do, it will be adapted. It’s been great to see the progress my daughter has made in the water. In other classes I’ve been to it has felt as if she wasn’t getting anywhere and doing the same thing for months, but at turtle tots the activity’s are slightly different every week and I enjoy the variety in each class.

We love turtle tots. It has given both our children a real love of swimming as well great confidence and safety awareness in the water. If you’re going to do one baby class with your baby, I would say join turtle tots!

Lovely class with fun songs and props for kids to enjoy being in the water without pressure to do anything. I have seen the kids blossom and get so confident and all be at different levels but all able to enjoy the class. It is the only thing my daughter never resists getting dressed for and she loves every second.
