Baby & Toddler Swimming Lessons in Staffordshire

Hi, I’m Sam,

Im a Mum of 2 who has always had a life long dream of owning my own swim school. I used to swim competitively in my younger days and have a LOVE for the water. Both of my children have swam from just weeks old, and I also have a dog who ironically absolutely hates the water.

Having worked my whole life, initially in sales and hospitality, serving in the RAF as an RAF Police woman for 5 years, working in a nursery and primary schools to gain my child care qualifications. I finally decided 8 years ago that I wanted to pursue my passion of teaching children and love for swimming.

I took the plunge and gained my swim teaching qualifications. I have since then worked for 5 different swim schools over the years, in Leicestershire, Oxfordshire, Cyprus and Staffordshire & Cheshire. However, on settling back in the Staffordshire area, it was Jan 2023 when I started looking to turn my dreams into a reality.

I looked into several options yet I fell in love with the ethos and approach of the Turtle Tots way and decided this was most definitely the swim school for me. I bought my franchise in the Staffordshire area, my home ground, in July 2023.

This was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I am so proud of my swim school and each and every child who swims with me. My passion and dedication for teaching children a skill for life, which may one day save their life, makes my Turtle Tots journey so rewarding.

I cannot wait to share all the milestones and memories with you and your little turtles through your very own Turtle Tots journey.

Outside of my Turtle Tots world, I love nothing more than spending time with my family and going on lots of adventures with them, making life long memories.

I currently teach at our Stafford and Telford pools, but you will see me at all venues from time to time. I’m ready to DIVE in and meet you all with a smile.

Hi, I’m Jess,

I started my Turtle Tots journey by attending classes in Stafford with my little girl who was just 12weeks old at the time. We loved them so much that when it came to that time of planning on going back to work, I decided to change my career path completely and became a Turtle Tots teacher. It really is one of the best jobs in the world.

I am so proud of working for Turtle Tots Staffordshire and that I am making a difference to each individual who swims with me. Not only being able to teach them vital life safety skills, but building their confidence, improving their swimming skills and having lots of fun along the way. Each term is so rewarding when you look back at where each child started to their developments and achievements at the end of the term.

Away from the pool I love spending time with my family, going on days out and making life long memories, especially outdoors and in the sunshine. I also enjoy being snuggled up watching movies and series on the TV.

I currently teach all ages from birth through to older independent swimmers at our Stafford, Stone and Brewood pools.

Hi, I’m Maz,

I am so excited to be a part of the Turtle Tots Staffordshire team as a Swim Teaching Assistant. Previously I have worked with children of all ages and have spent many years as a life guard. I have a great love of swimming and so being able to assist children in learning to swim is a wonderful opportunity.

I currently assist all teachers with their independent children swimming lessons at Stafford and Brewood. I hope to become a fully qualified teacher very soon and take on my own classes.

The most favourite part of my j0b is watching the children progress each week, it is so rewarding for them, their parents and myself.

Outside of the pool, I am a Mum to a very active, lovely little boy and a Shih Tzu called Snoopy. I love nothing more than spending time with my family, going on days out making special memories, going on camping adventures and of course going on long walks with Snoopy. I also love getting my head stuck into a good book.

Hi, I’m Pete,

I am very pleased to be a part of Turtle Tots Staffordshire with Sam and the team. Teaching swimming is a fantastic opportunity for me and I feel very privileged to be able to impart my knowledge, skills and love of swimming to the children.

I have spent my whole career in the HM Prison Service, where I spent the last 15years as a Governor. Unfortunately, I have worked with many children during my service especially those in need of extra support.

I became a swimming teacher back in 1992, where I took my qualifications to enable me to teach my own children to swim. I have since re trained ahead of joining the Turtle Tots team.

I am married with 4 grown up children, we have 4 grandchildren and a one eyed Pug called Vinnie. I’ve had a life long love of sport which includes Swimming (obviously), Golf, Walking, going to the gym, and Football (I’m a big Stoke City FC fan).

I currently teach at our Stafford, Stone and Stoke pools. I love nothing more than the infectious smiles of joy and happiness that my lessons bring to not only the children but their parents too. It’s such a rewarding job that I’m very proud to be a part of.
